North Yorkshire Police Community Messaging
» Posted in General News on Wed 9th Nov, 2016
North Yorkshire Police are now operating a new messaging system, which has taken over from Ringmaster.
It is called ‘Community Messenger’ and operates from 3G and 4G networks.
It is allowing us to send live-time messages, crime notifications, and community news across the networks – and we can also tailor it to be area specific.
You can receive the information on your Smartphones via SMS text, in addition to voicemail, and via e-mail. You can set it up to only receive a message pertinent to your Postcode, and also broaden it, for you to receive a Message if you enter an area such as a town centre.
To that end, we are asking for the public to sign up to the Community Messaging System by going to www.nycm.co.uk which will take you to the Registration Form. The Website explains it all.
